Insurance reinstatements in Auckland

Insurance reinstatements

What we do

We reinstate residential, body corporate and commercial buildings across Auckland after fire, water and storm damage. We work directly with your insurer and loss adjuster and manage the work from first assessment to final sign-off. Our site and project managers are Licensed Building Practitioners, and we are SiteWise and SiteConnect accredited.

Many of our reinstatements take place in occupied buildings. We agree the scope against your policy, keep residents informed, and stage the work so people can keep living and working in the building while repairs are completed.

Our process

From first assessment to insurer sign-off.

  1. 01

    Assess.

We inspect the building with you and the loss adjuster and photograph all visible damage. We also identify damage likely to be hidden behind wall and ceiling linings and flag it up front, so it is included in the scope rather than becoming a variation later.

  2. 02

    Scope.

We prepare a written scope of works against your policy, priced as a fixed-price contract with agreed margins, and have it approved by the insurer before work begins. If the loss adjuster requires competing quotes, we supply ours in the format they need.

  3. 03

    Coordinate.

Before strip-out begins, we notify the body corporate, brief residents and issue a programme. Protection and dust containment are put in place, services are kept running wherever possible, and noisy or dusty work is scheduled outside normal hours where needed.

Programme · Resident communication · Site protection

  4. 04

    Reinstate.

Structure, services, linings and finishes are delivered under our direct site management, so one team is responsible for the whole reinstatement. Products are installed to manufacturer specification, and original materials are retained wherever possible.

  5. 05

    Handback.

We complete a final inspection with the insurer and hand over producer statements and product warranties. The defects period starts from handover, and if anything needs attention later, the same team that did the work comes back to put it right.

Frequently asked

  • Yes. We provide the documentation insurers and loss adjusters need, including itemised scopes, fixed-price contracts with agreed margins, progress photos and reinstatement to pre-loss condition. We deal with the loss adjuster directly, so you are not left passing messages between the two parties.
